Easy 5-Ingredient Chocolate Smoothie
Updated: Jan 19, 2021
One of the easiest things ever, vegan, calcium, protein, and overall nutrient rich, without compromising on taste for an amazing breakfast.

Chocolate is the best thing ever. Like, whoever created chocolate is an ABSOLUTE GENIUS!! I love chocolate and anything chocolate flavored, from chocolate-covered nuts to creamy chocolate ice cream. That being said, I don't eat those kinds of things often because they're not good for your body.
Whenever I want a nutritious, filling breakfast that includes chocolate, 99% of the recipes I find online contain my major deal-breaker: BANANA. Ugh. Bananas are okay, I guess, but bananas in a chocolate smoothie? I can't even. If you love bananas and chocolate, you can totally add a banana to this recipe as well, but I can't stand bananas with chocolate, so I like to keep it as is.
This vegan recipe is a savior for people like me who love chocolate but want to fuel their body with the right things. Made with just five ingredients, this recipe couldn't be easier! Just soak chia (or flax)seeds, toasted oats, cacao powder, maple syrup, and non-dairy milk(or regular if you're not vegan) overnight, then the next morning, throw it into a blender with some protein powder(if you want), blend, and enjoy! It ticks all of the boxes: nutritious, easy to make, convenient, vegan, and, most importantly, DELICIOUS!

The brown stuff that the strawberries are floating on is the smoothie:) enjoy!
