Banana for Banana-Haters

Updated: Sep 19, 2020

A simple way to spice up an old banana so that anyone will eat it.

Bananas. I like to think of them as a controversial fruit, as many people(like me) don't really like to eat bananas, but others(like my family) absolutely LOVE them. Nowadays, everyone is using them in everything, from pancakes to ice cream. Even banana chocolate smoothies, which, may I mention, I HATE?! Bananas and chocolate may sound appetizing to some, but for me? Ugh. Eat chocolate by itself, and the banana too.

Of course, me, being a banana-hater wanted to eat some fruit yesterday afternoon, and guess, JUST GUESS what was the only fruit we had left. So I tried to disguise it so I could end up eating it. This was the result, and guess what? I even licked the plate.(To be fair though, the only stuff on the plate that I could lick wasn't banana).

Whether you're a banana hater or lover, you need to try this. It makes for a nutritious, delicious snack.

Cuisine: None

Course: Snack

Author: Prachi Marfatia

Serves: 1

Ingredients:

1 ripe banana

2 tbsp peanut or other nut butter

1 tbsp(or a handful) of chocolate chips

Directions:

Place the banana on a plate. Smear the peanut butter evenly on the top of the banana so it looks like the picture. Top with chocolate chips, cut into slices, and enjoy!

Note: Some people may find it easier to cut the banana first, then add the peanut butter and chocolate chips.
